Ice Cream Smiles – A New Addition to the Community

Ice Cream Smiles – A New Addition to the Community

The Charles Ford Retirement Community has welcomed a new addition that provides smiles, sweetness, and creamy indulgence – the Ross and Jenny Ice Cream Machine! As residents gather around this delightful addition, they discover it is not only an ice cream machine but a keepsake of memories of a friend and fellow resident.

In an effort to provide moments of joy to the Charles Ford family, Ross and Jenny Vaughn gifted this ice cream machine with their mother in mind, giving back to the community that was so kind to her. Because of this heartwarming treat, residents are able to come together and turn an ordinary day into an extraordinary one!

The staff loves seeing the joy on residents’ faces. Amy Koch, Executive Director of Charles Ford, explains how special it is to see visitors and multiple generations of families getting to indulge in this enriching experience,

“The joy on faces genuinely transcends generations.
We see the young and old leaving with an ice cream smile!”

Whether visitors are coming or going, most can’t resist quickly stopping at the Ross and Jenny – maybe even getting a swirl cone!

This new machine at Charles Ford has proven to be a thoughtful and meaningful addition. Beyond the delicious treat it provides, it has become a symbol of shared moments, laughter, and a sense of togetherness among the residents, families, and staff.
